Xov, if by ill luck anything wen wrong with us—for we are at war, ano of course, arc running risks —I hope yo will remain courageous, and be sure, i case 1 die, I have complete confidence 1 you : and 1 ask you to live for the sake (. •Hinging up my boy so as to be a righ manly and true fellow; and give him ,ood education, according to the mean it your disposal. Above all, when he is grown up, te; him that his father died for him, or, a least, for a cause that would be of servic 0 him and all the generations to come. Now, my dear Yvonne, all this is bi 1 mere precaution, and 1 hope to 1 ieside you and help \ - ou in your task >ut, as I have said, one never knows wha s going to happen.
