ENTERTAINMENTS.

THE KING'S THEATRE. To-night the star film will be "The California Round Up.'' ''The Calofornia Round Up" is known in America as a ''Rodeo." The ' Rodeo" is held annually, and here it is that men ride for love, for honour, for glory. This is a convincing ground for all challenges, where a man or a woman must hold their reputation as a true cowboy or cowgirl, t r become a mere nobody. So many desperate winning battles have lwen fought at this round-up, and so many tragic failures recorded that the stories jvould cover a thousand pages. "The Californian Round Up" is a sustained succession of thrills, such thrills .vhieh are the daily lot of the range ider who must r-hoose his mounts from ho wild horses of the prairies, and the mrse must typify the man. The wildest torses are ridden till they are tamed, vhile the men and women of the rank's tost their strength and show their •rowess by subduing the bucking, creaming, biting outlaws of horses and attle. Broncho busting is a sport, but uch a sport that would daunt the ravest toreadors of Spain. On the rairies deeds .-peak for themselves, and 1 witnessing this lealistic pictdre of The Califorian Round Up" one is enabled to realise hew the American true iwboy and cowgirl are on the scroll of ime. The accompanying films are in coping with the star subject. THE THEATRE ROYAL. "The Return," a film which has seired high praise wherever it has been lown, occupies pride of place in the irrent programme at the Theatre ■oval this evening. It is a stirring :ory in which adventure and romance are pleasingly interwoven. The programme, as a whole, promises patrons an enjoyable evening's amusement.
