GERMANS OBJECTED TO.
Received June 1, 10.10 a.m SYDNEY, June 1. As the result of the employment ol a number of Germans, 600 employees in the Sydney and Waterloo glassworks have struck. The Germans, who art expert blowers, are mostly naturalised. They have Ik en in (he employ of tin companies for years and are members of the union. 'I he management points out that tin putting oil' of the Germans means idling many others, because it is impossible to replace the experts. One company has decided not to employ German's whose work Britishers are able to do. The employees of the- Neudiatel Ashphalt works, which supply the City Council, have struck because two Germans were employed. The management states.that the Germans are naturalised and married to Australian women. They have been employed for many years. The men have laid their case before the council.
