SALE OF CLYDESDALES
Attention is called to Mr E. Short's dispersal sale of stud Clydesdales, particulars of which will lie found in our advertising columns. As Mr Short has decided to give up breeding, this sale affords an exceptional opportunity to breeders and others to select high-class stock from the best imported and colonial blood; in fact, is is beyond contradiction that so many first-class animals have at no time been submitted to public competition before at any one sale, either in the Old Country or the Dominion. The stallions include the famous imported sire Lonsdale Again, who is at the head of the stud; Top Gallant, first prize winner at Manawatu and iiigmont, 1914; Royal Record, by the noted English sire Oyama from the world-renowned imported mare Cedrie Princess, who is also dam of Royal Acme; Meteor, by Lonsdale Again from the champion mare Silloth Lady, holds an unbeaten record for 1913-1914, and was champion at Egmont, 1914. Among the mares are such well-known prize-winners as Cedric Princess, champion mare of England, with an unbeaten record; Bonnie Jean, Silloth Lady (imp.), with 31 first, 5 champion, and 5 reserve champion awards; Lassie Logan, Lady Graceful, and many other well-known prize-winners. The colt and nilv foals are of exceptional quality, well-grown, and in great condition. The sale will bo held at the stud farm, Almadale, seven miles from Feilding, and intending buyers from a distance must arrive in Feilding on TuesdaA*, June 8, in order to get out to Almadale by 11.30 on Wednesday, when the sale will commence with the stallions.
