♦ JEANETTE BEATS BELL. A POINTS DECISION'. LONDON, May I. Joe Jeanette (the negro heavy-weight boxer) defeated Colin Hell (the Australian) on points t<>-day. The decision was received with booing. Bell showed to considerable advantage in the early rounds, and was the aggressor to the eighth. Jeanette then threw off his caution and forced the fighting. The exchanges in the ninth were fairly fast and even. Jeanette in the eleventh right and left to the head with telling effect. Jeanette landed hard in the thirteenth round, and later repeatedly hooked Roll to the body. The Australian's sliced was undiminished, and he did most of the leading, but had tin' worst of matters in the clinches. The two concluding rounds were fast and furious, and Jeanette had some* what the best of the exchanges.
