The Waikato friends of Mr David Gcldic will regret to learn that he is somewhat seriously indisposed, and is at present a patient at Mount Pleasant private hospital in Auckland, • • * • Mr (;. I?. Shepherd, member of the (.'rev Education Hoard, and chairman of the Reofton School Committee for many years, died suddenly at a school committee meeting at Reel'ton on Monday night. • • • a Mr .1. H. G'.inson has been re-elected chairman <:i 1 lie Auckland Harbor Board unopposed, his nominators being Messrs C. R. Hutchinson and .1. S. Bond. Mr \Y. 10. Hutchison has been re-elected deputy-chairman without opposition. • • • • Mr K. J. Early, engineer to the Matamata County Council, is at present indisposed with an attack of rheumatic lever, .-nd was granted leave of absence at Monday's meeting. We wish him a speedy recovery. ■ • » • '1 he death is announced of Mr William Andrews, an old and highly respected resident of Katikati. Deceased came out from Balleymotia. County Antrim, Ireland, :'s a member of the Katikati No. 1 parfv in the year l>*7.">, and had resided in Katikati ever since.
