FARMERS' AUCTIONEERING CO. The Farmers' Auctioneering Company reports : NGARUAWAHIA. At Ngaruawahia on November 27 we had a yarding of 2426 head of cattle, and of these 807 were well-bred steers from 2± years to 4 N years old from Waingaro and Te Akau, for which there was keen competition at prices equal to any we have obtained this spring. Younger cattle were lower than they have been, and a number of owners were unable to accept prices offered. Fresh-conditioned to 4yr-old steers £7 10s to £8 10s, nice quality 3yr steers £6 5s to £6 17s, 2£yr steers £5 5s to £6, 2yr steers £4 5s to £4 12s 6d, 18months' steers £2 16s to £4, fat cows £5 10s to £6 16s, store cows £3 15s to £4, empty 2yr heifers £3 15s to M ss, yearling steers up to £3 14s, yearling heifers up to £3 10s, mixed yearlings £2 15s to £3 os. A section of land in the township of Newcastle, sold by order of the Public Trustee, brought £95. OHAUPO. At Ohaupo on November 26 we had an entry of 973 head of cattle. There was a good demand for all steers, 2|yrs and upwards, but younger cattle were decidedly lower, and there was not the keen demand which there has been for them lately. Fresh 4 and syr-old steers £8 7s 6d to i 8 16s, 3yr steers £6 5s to £7 3s, 2£yr steers £5 to £5 12s, 2yr steers £4 5s to £4 12s 6d, 12 to 15-months' steers £3 13s to £3 17s 6d.

CLEARING SALE, On November 25 we held a clearing sale near Tauwhare on behalf of Mr 0. F. Clothier. There was a good attendance of buyers. Draught horses and sheep sold extremely well, cattle were easier than at late sales, and implements, grass seed, sundries, etc., sold fairly well. Fat wethers 16s to 16s 3d, fat ewes 12s 6d, 2-tooth ewes 13s 3d, store wethers 13s 3d to 13s Bd, 2yr-old empty heifers £4 2s 6d to £4 10s, 15-months' steers £3 lis, 2 and 2£yr steers £4 9s, medium draught horses £22 to £4O 10s, binder £23, waggon £25, buggy £2l, D.F. ploughts £lO 5s and £l4.

DALGETY AND CO. Messrs Dalgety and Co. report : HAMILTON STOCK SALE. We held our triweekly sale in the Hamilton yards on Thursday, the 28th 'nstant, when we had an average yarding. Bidding was good for fat cattle, store cows and weaners. Emyty heifers and yearlings were dull of sale. We quote : Fat bullocks light weights £8 17s, fat cows £5 12s 6d to £6 13s, fat heifers £5 14s to £5 19s, forward empty cows £4 5s to £5 9s, empty cows in poor condition £1 19s to £3 2s 6d, cows with calves £4 15s to £6 14s, yearling steers £2 lis to £3 2s, yearling to 18-m6rith heifers £3 2s to £3 18s, 6d, weaner calves £1 ss£l 15s, vealers £2 17s, Jersey bulls £2 2s to £4 14s, Shorthorn bulls £3 16s to, £4 4s, heifers close to profit £6 10s to £7, fat ewes 13s 3d to 16s, fat lambs lis to 14s, porkers £l 7s 6d to £1 14s, slips 16s 6d to £l, horse, saddle and bridle £6 17s 6d. TE AWAMUTU HORSE FAIR. We held our special horse fair in the Te Awamutu saleyards on Monday and Tuesday, the 25th and 26th instant, when more than the advertised number of horses came forward. There was a fair attendance of buyers, but heavy rain interfered with the sale, and bidding was dull for everything except young and sound sorts, for which good prices were realised. We quote: Unbroken medium draughts £2l 10s to £25, unbroken hacks and harness sorts £8 to £l2, unbroken ponies and squibs £9 to ,£25, draught foals £8 to £lO, 3 and 4-year-old heavy draughts £32 10s to £4O, 6 and 7-year-old draughts £2B to £35, aged draughts £lB to £26 10s, medium draughts £l3 5s to £2l 10s, hacks £8 to £l6 ss, harness horses £6 5s to £l9 10s, ponies £l to £5 15s.

MELBOURNE WOOL SALES. (Per Press Association.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, November 29. Wool competition is keen and very well distributed. The high prices of the earlier part of the week were well maintained towards the close. In sympathy with the London sales, which failed to fully realise expectations, the bidding showed irregularity, and withdrawals were somewhat heavy. Finer sorts, however, were in strong demand.
