A Great Milking Machine.
CONTEST IN AUSTRALIA
The Gane machine has just won a great contest in Australia . against some of the leading makes of machines. Mr Yeagers of Lismore, N.S.W., whoi milks 1000 cows, offered the leading machine firms to put their plants in his'shad at tbair own expense. Each firm was allowed one week to erect and start their plants and after that the machines were left entirely in Mr Yeager's bands. The trial lasted for six we«ks aadi he alone was to be the judge. Needless to say the Gane came out on top, for Mr Yeagers has sent in an order amounting to £B7O, less power, to the company. T his order has been fulfilled and the marines are working satisfactorily. The machines that competed are all working in New Zealand, and are known well. Some of the Walikato farmers will be able to understand wfhy they ttave to wait for their plants, as the Australian orders have drawn largely on the stock, however the company is prepared to accept 50 fresh orders in October and erect a plant after the Bth! in 5 days from date of order, and have it running. Mr Jenkins has just arrived from Whangarei where he has just completed 4 plants. The Maungatapu Dairy Company have offered to take up the agency and to supply Gane machines to their suppliers. Mr Jenkins will be in Hamilton during the early part of next week and will be prepared to meet clients.
