An edict directs the Assembly to hold general elections, end agrees to •ecognition of the rebels' lolitical party. It states that the revolutionaries are different to the wicked rebel 9 o! former dynasties. The damage to Hankow by fires on Monday was five million sterling. Further fires were burning on Thursday when an area of two miles by half a mile was- devastated. Blind bays at the Wesleyan Mission had a remarkable escape. THE YUAN-SHIH-KAI ASSEMBLY. (Received Nov. 7, 8.5 a.m.) PEKING, Nov. 6. Wu-ting-fang, a former Minister at Washington has joined the revolutionists. Sucbau, Hangchu, Sung-kiang, and Wusung have joined the movement and Tnku and Teintsin will probably make attacks on the Yuan-shih-kai Assembly, which they provisionally accuse of arrogating excessive powers. , T
