Goidsize took ch&rge at the distance when Jack Delaval came through, winning by two lengths. Time, 1.16. Welcome Stakes—Winning Way 1. Beldame 2, Autumus 3. Scratched : Andrea and Brown Owl. Won by a head. Time, 49.
Musket Stakes,—Tact 1, Dddo 2, Prince Merriwee 3. Scratched : Opposition and M<jnawai. Dido and Tact were quickest out, the latter staying; longest. Won 'by three quarters of a length. Time, 51 3-5. Normamby Handicap—Master Jack 1, Goodwin Sands 2, Joltie Filfc 3. Scratched : Fuss and Countree. Won by a neck. Time, 1.29 3-5.
Welter Handicap—Wee Olga 1, Flying Soult 2, Dawn 3. All started. Won by five lengths. Time, 1.41 3-5.
The total reoeipts amounted' to £22,155, making the total for the two days £37,484,
CHRISTCHURCH RACES. CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday. The following are the concluding results New Zealand Cup—'Vice Admiral 1, Miscount 2, Los Angelos 3. All started. Ladies' Purse —Kris 1, Gangway 2, Sapience 3. Aiso started r. Susa, Red, White and Blue, Nigihtlight, Ahaupai, Miss Try and Kilkenny. Won by a length. Time, 1.47. Stewards' —Nyland 1, Peirene 2, Bliss 3. Scratched : Equitias and Countermine. Won. by 1| lengths. Time, 1.15 2-5. Apprentices' Plate—All Guns 1, Aimwell 2, Allurement 3. Also ran : Peronal, Emma, Corrie, Varna, Cerise anid Blue, Early Morn, Frivolity, Somersault, Yodel and Magaria. Won by a length. The tote reoeipts were £39,851, including £8,354 on the Cup race, against £27,472 on the first day of last year.
