Dangers to Motorists.
LIGHTLESS VEHICLES
WELLINGTON, Monday. A deputation representing the Hawke's Bay, Canterbury, Auckland and Wellington Automobile Associations waited on Sir Joseph Ward to urge that all vehicles should carry lights at night, that motor car Hi-. .:s .. licensed, and that danger signals ba erected whirs necessary. Sir Joseph Ward said he did not think there was any chance of legislating during the present session. In his opinion there ought to be lights on all vehicles at night. He was willing to assist in the matter of the erection of danger signals, but motorists should do their share. He agreed absolutely to the licensing of drivers, and thought no one under 17 should be allowed to drive in the streets.
