AUCKLAND, This day. Messrs A. Buckland and Sons, report : dairy cattle. At Westfield,. on September 7'th, there was a fair muster of dairy and store cattle. Best dairy : £8 to £l2 10s, choice springing heifers, £6l7s Od to £9 10s, backward and s>jc ! £1 to £7 ; small heifers in calf 15s to £5 ss, empty £2 15s to £4 ss, yearling £2 5s to £4 15s calves £1 10s to £2 9s. STORE CATTLE. On Wednesday, September 13th 300 cattle were penned. There was a keen demand with advanced values. Choice ox £1 14s 6d per 100 lb., ordinary £1 10s to £l 13s, cow and heifer beef £1 6s to £1 10s, steers £/ 6d to £lO 17s 6d, cows, heifers £5 os to! £ll 10s, fat young calves, suckers, £2 10s to £3 runners £4 3s to £4 15s, small suckers £1 5s to £2 ; fresh dropped to £l. SHEEP. The sheep pens were well tilted. Therei was steady competition. Heavy wethers £1 5s '(id to £1 7 S 9d, medium £1 Is to £1 4s 6d, unfinished 15s to £l, weighty £l to £1 4s 3d, hoggets 14s €d to ISs 6d~ 1551 sold. Spring lambs 19s to £l 3s Gd, small 9s 3d to 17s 6d. 55 sold PIGS. Pigs caused a brisk sale. Baconerg £2 6s to £3 16s, large porkers £2 5s to £2 13s, lighter £l 9s to £2 Is, slips, 14s to 17s, weaners 10s fid to 13s. 147 sold.
