♦ The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency, Co., Ltd., report CAMBRIDGE HORSE FAIR. We held our annual spring horse fair at Cambridge on sth, 6th audi 7th inst., when we> offered 104 unbroken colts and filii.es of all classes, 230 draughts, broken, and 215 light horses. There was a large attendance., buyers being present from Sydney, Whangarei, Auckland, King Country, Rotorna, Thames and all parts of the Waikato. A good demand existed for sound' young horses, suitable for carting, waggon and farm work, and good hacks, buggy and 'bus horses and cobs sold well. Very few failed to change owners, and these only because vendors would n ( >t accept fair values. Unbroken 3-vear old draught colts and fillies made from £32 to £3B, medium £2l to £26 10s, risinir 2-year olds £l9 to £2l, l'oals £ll to £ls ss, light 3-year olds £ll to £l4 JOs. 2-year olds £6 5s to £9 15s, yearlings £2 to £5 ss, draughts, broken, £35 to £46, medium draughts £'23 to £3O, plough and light waggon horses £l9 to £22 10s, aged do. £l2 to £l6, 'bus and licht spring cart horses £l7 10s to £2l 15s, welllired hacks and buggy horses £l6 15s to £25, useful light harness horses and cobs £l2 10s to £ls ss, saddle cobs £5 to £ll 15s, ponies £2 to £1 10s, polo ponies £9 10s to £l2, 50 unbroken weeds 10s to.
