SUDDEN DEATHS.
(By Telegraph.—Press Asso(#stion.) CHUISTCIIURCH, Dec. 28. Yesterday, at Ha warden Stock Sale Yards, Mr Aleck Allen, a wellknown Waikari farmer, dropped down dead during the progress of the sale and just after bidding for a pen of sheep. The cause of death was heart disease. Deceased wan -j' u prominent member of the Fame'" ' Union, and had been a reside!!.the district over :>0 years. «*, " - " HOKITIKA, Dec. 28. Yesterday, George Raine, an old resident, dropped dead in his wheelwright's shop. To-day, Patrick Dee, a \\ e.st Coast pioneer, well known as a road contractor, and afterwards atf a large storekeeper, passed awj.^. Both were old residents, who did their share in opening up the district.
