JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NELSON, December 28. A three days' celebration of the Jubilee of Nelson College by the Old Boys' Association was commenced to-night in the New College Hall, when Old Boys from all parts Ijf I h9 colony were present, and telegrams and cables were received from various parts of the world, including the Old Country Universities, wishing success to the College, and * fully three hundred were present. Dr. Gibbn, President of the Association occupied the chair. The speaker included Mr Hogben (InspectorGeneral of Schools), Mr Joynt (Registrar of the New Zealand University) Mr Fell (Chairman of the Governors), Mr Fowler (Prinoipal) and the Hon. R. MoNab (Minister for Lands). The latter spoke of the proof afforded by the Old Boys of the success of the College whose pogils were found in the learned professions, literature, law, medicine and in agricultural, commercial, and industrial' undertakings, while some had distinguished themselves in science, his references being specially to Professor Rutherford and Dr. Evans.
