At Fukekohe on WedneFday th*re was a large inuiter of stock, with the exception of dairy cows, which were yarded in less than usual numbers, Stock of all descriptions sold well. Dairy cows brought from £1 10s to £7 15;; do., heifers, £3 5s to £*s ss; grown steers, £4 10s to £6 17s ; two to three-year-old do., £2 10s 11 £5 ss; yearlings, £1 2s to £2 10s; c lives, 15s to 25a; empty cows, £2 5s to £3 17s 6d. Beef was yarded in record numbers for Pukekohe, 103 head being yarded, which sold at fully Newmarket rates, oxen selling at from £7 5s to £0 15s; cows, £4 10s to £7. The Waiuku Yards were well filled on Saturday with stock of all descriptions. Good prices were obtained. Dairy cows sold at from £3 10s to £6; empty cows, £2 to £3 15s; grown steers, £4 10s to £7 2s ; two to three-ye»r-old do., £2 10s to £3 12s 6d ; yearlings, £1 lis to £2 8s ; oalves, 10s to £1 Is. Tne advertised steers sold at from £6 10s to £7 2s.
The Junction Yards on Tjesday were well filled with cattle of all classes, which sold at late values. Dairy cows sold at from £3 10s to £7 ss; empty do., £2 4s to £3 8s; oalves, 15i to £L Bs. Fat cattle were penned in average numbers, most of the oxen being light weighti. Bidding was scarcely as brisk as usual, although quotations are the same; cow, 17s to 20s per 1001b. Steers so id at from £6 10s to £lol7s 6d; cows, £4 5s to £lO 10s, which was obtained for tl e first and champion prize-taker at the agricultural show. Sheep—The Newmarket Yards were well filled on Tuesday and met a keen competition, prices advancing from Is to 2s per head. Wethers sold at from 19s 6d to £1 5s 9d ; ewes, 16s 6d to £1 Is 3d. Lambs in full supply, sold well at from for wellfatted 12s 9d to £l, other sorts from 10s 6d to 13s 9i.
Pigs.—Porkers brought from £1 Is to £1 19s; weaners, 10s 6i to 15s; baconers, £2 3s to £3 Is.
We submitted an extra large catalogue of hides, skins, tallow, etc., on Tuesday. Hides.—Market easier. Calfskins, s|l to 6Jd; cut, 3Ji to 4R S-heepskius.—Market firm. Best butchers skins, large up to 8j 6J. medium, os to 5s 6d, small, 4j to 4s 31; pelts and lambs, Is Oil to 2s 51. Tallow.—Market easier. Best mixed, up to 275; good, 24< to 25j 6d ; inferior, 22s 6d to 23i 31; rou„'h fat, Isl par lb. Horsehair, Is to Is 7d. Cowtails, It 7d dozen. Bones, £4 Isi. M> ze.—Firm at 3j on whai f. Oats.—Stocks are light and tho inaiket is firm at 2t 7d ex store, Cratl is easier at £1 10; at rail. Wheat.—in good demand at 3a 8d ex store.
