From our Own Correspondent. Being fully alive to the ever-increasing prosperity and the coneeij ient extending requirements of thia now important agricultural looality, Messrs Forsman Bros., of Waharoa, have recently made considerable additions to their chaff cutting and thresh ing plant, in the shape of a new six horse power traction engine and threshing machine, manufactured by Meisra Kuston, Prootnr and Co., of Lincoln, and imported hy E Porter and Co., of Auckland. 'I hi? line plant, which was exhibited by the • was the centre of great attraction and admiration at the reoent Auckland Agricultural Show. The importation of ucli splendid agricultural maohinery at ihis speaks well, not only for the progress and prosperity of this and surrounding -ettleinents, hut also for the praiseworthy enterprise of Messrs Forsman Bros The chatlcutting apparatus is by Andrew? and Beavan.of Christchurch, and is capable of putting through from 20 to 25 tons per day, while the thresher is one of the most oomplete and efficient of finishing machines in existence, the process leaving the seed quite clean and ready for market; so that both the enterprising owners and the oatgrowing farmers of this locality are alike to be congratulated upon the advent of such a plant. On Saturday last, after a very keen and close game the Ocrdon cricketers defeated jlantwaru players by four runs. The Mon-ague Bros, did the best service for the winning side, whilst Messrs Davis and Timmins were the most successful for the losing team. On Monday evening a meeting of the Waharoa milk suppliers was held in the 1 cal hall, Mr Ewing, one of the directors, in the chair, Mr W. Spragg being also present. It is understood that after dis cussing existing difficulties and differences, matters were satisfactorily eettled.
