A SCHEME FOR GIRLS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association) DUNEDIN, December 14. At the breaking up ceremony at the Girls' High School, Miss Marchant, the principal, said when in Wellington recently, she had urged on the Minister for Education, the desirableness of the substitution of technical subjects for some of the memory subjects so as to relieve the pressure on girls attending secondary schools. The Minister had given her a verbal assurance that something of the sort would I done.
