AlacKw.tu and Co is as follows.— BUTTER. Australian. - We consider the quality from all points an improvement more especially will regard to (Queensland. Should the improvement continue it will not be very many seasons before t lie latter is on a par with Victorian and New Sou li Wales standard. There haß been exceptionally good demand for salted of perfect quality and while there is a scarcity of this class already there is more uusalted than is wanted to meet the require, meuts of the retail trade. This week's arrivals amount to 9.869 packages viz:—Africa 2299, Ueelong 3106, and Omrah with 4464; this compares wi'.h 14,407 packages for the corresponding week last year. New Sou'h Wales—Finest silted, 1208 to 1225; unsalted, 118s to 120s; (Queensland, finest sailed up io 118s; unsaUed, 114s to 116s Victorian, finest salted, and unsalted 120s to 1 22s ; flue salted aud uusalted, 116s to 118s. New Zealand.—There is practically nothing to offer. There are about 350 boxes due per S.S. Kuinara on the 31st inst., and 10,400 by the Rimutaka on the 9th November. Canadian.—There are 6,927 packages arriving this week against 11,531 for the same period in 1905. There is not the same demand now that the Australian season is approaching. Siberian.—The demand is on strictly fancy of which there is a very small proportion arriving, and while finest quality is easily sold at 106s to 108s; grades under in the least way irregular are not so saleable at from 98s to 100s. The arrivals this week aggregate to 12,351 packages compared with 4,879 for the same week last )ear.
