NGABUAWAHIA STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., report as follows:—On Friday, at Ngaruawahia, we yarded G7O odd head of cattle. A large number of buyers attended from Waikato districts, Waingaro and neighbourhood, and competed briskly for every line (especially stores of all classes) and, with the exception of a few yearling heifers, all were quitted at the hammer or immediately afterwards. Thirty fat and forward steers steers from Mr Wm. Honne and Messrs Lovell Bros, realised from ,£5 15s to £8 ss; 24 fat cows from various owners, £h to £" 5s ; 3-year-old steers, £i> 2s (3d to £5 10s j forward cows and heifer., £'i 15s to ill 10s; 2 and 2J year steer-, j63 8s to JE4 5s ; 15 and 18-months steers, £2 15s to j£3 6i ; yearling steers, £2 3s to .£2 10s; mixed yearlings, £1 17a to £2 2i; others, £\ 8s to XI 14s; this season's calvts,lßs; 18-months and 2-year-old empty heifers, X2 12s 6d to X 3 6s; yearling heifers, XI 12s to X2 ; 3 and 4-year-old bulls, X3to X 4 10s; yearling bulls, £2 10s to 3 \ guineas; dairy cows and heifers, £4 10s to X 5 ss. BUTTER AND EGGS. The following are the Auckland wholesale quotations for bu.ter and eggs for the week ending Deoember Ist: Factory butter Is per lb ; farmers' butter (best) 8u per lb; eggs 9J per d< zen. Eggs are much more plentiful this week and have eased. Many eggs are now coming on the market that were Bent to cool store during the last few weeks. There is no market in the South, and the local market is unable to consume present supplies. The complaints about stale and bad eggs are loud and strong. The Co-operative Egg and Poultry Co.'s price for eggs for the week ending Ist December, 1906, is: Hen eggs, lid dozen; duokjeggs, 9d dozen.
