A PECULIAR DISASTER.
A FLOOD OF SPIRITS
LONDON, November 22
A singular disaster has just occurred in Glasgow. The columns supporting the vats at Messrs Giay's distillery collapsed, and 20U,WU gallons of spirits escaped into the street, almost drowning fourteen people.
One man died from the effects of his immersion. The damage is estimated at £15,000.
