OHAUPO STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited reports:—On Tuesday November 20th, we held our second bull sale atOhaupo, and immediately afterwards offered ,1140 cattle of all classes. There was a large attendance of buyers from l'e Pute, Te Kuiti, Kawhia, Paeroa, Morrinsville and Waikato districts. The improved prices of the last two weeks ruled and we report the most successful sale we have held at Oliaupo for some months, 87 well bred bulli elicited keen competition, especially 18-months and 2-year olds, and this class realized £1 7s to XIO 10<; choice yearlings, X I J 9s to .£l2 12s; others, £3 3s to .£6 6s; 3 and 4-year-old bulls, X 3 Ills to j66 ; forward conditioned 4-year-old bullocks, i! 6 15s to £1 8s; fre.-h 3 and 3j-year steers, £0 to £5 15s ; 21-year steers, j£4 5s to .£1 18s; 2-year steers, £i 10s to .£3 17s 6d ; 15 and 18-months steers, £2 los to £'i 3s; good yearling steers, £1 18s to £2 ss; yeaning heifers, j£l 10s to £1; mixed yearlings, XI 13s to £2 la; 18-months and 2-year-old empty heifers, j£2 10s to £2 17s 6i; cows and oalves, £2 8s to £3; fresh oows and heifers, £2 15s to £4 ; fat cows, £b 5s to .£t> ss; fat heifers, Jul 15s to £5 10s; fat steers, £8 ss. NEW ZEALAND LOAN AND MERCANIILE AGENCY CO'S, LTD., REPORT. Horses.—At the Durham Yards on Friday horses were yardtd in full numbers. Toe attendance was good, heavy and plough horses beirg wanted. Heavy draughts sold at from £2b to £36 10s; medium do., £2l to £32 ss; light harness horses, £8 10s to £2O; hacks, £6 5s to £ls 15s; wteis, £2 5s to £6 15s; dogcart, £l3 10s; taxoart, £l4. The trotters Bogey realised £SO and Tableau £52 10s.
At Pukekohe on Wednesday there was a large muster of stock of all classes, showing a nee on late rates. Dairy cows sold at from £4 5s to £8; do, heifers, £3 15s to £7; empty cows, £1 17s 6d to £3 2s 61; grown Bteers, £5 10s to £6 16s; two to three-ye<r-old do., £3 2s 6d to £5 4s; calves, 16< to £[ 9s ; yearling Bteers, £1 15s to £2 8s; beef steers, £7 5i to £8 14»; cows, £3 15s to £6 ss. At Waiuku on Saturday there was again a good yarding of all classes of stock, bidding being extra spirited, and almost without exception everything changed hands, Dairy cows, £3 10s to £6 15s ; empty oows. £ll7s6Jto£2 103; two-year-old steers, £1 17s to £2 9s; two and a-half to three-year-old do., £3 5s to £5 ss; grown steers, £5 17s 6d to £7 3s. The advertised grown averaged £7 0s 6d ; beef at .Newmarket rates.
At the clearing sale of live and dead stock held en account of Mr J. Aspden, ot Mount Albert, on Saturday, the attendance was good and bidding brisk, satisfactory prices being realised. Dairy cows sold at from £3 10s to £10; bull, £6; milk float, £9 12s 6i ; roan mare, £ls 15s. Cattle. —At .the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday dairy and store stock were yarded in usual numbers, and an average supply of beef. Dairy cows sold at from £3 10s to £3; empty do., £2 5s to £1 Is; calves, £1 to £1 8s; grown steers, £4 Gj fo £5 19s. Bidding for beef was keen and advanced on l»st week's rates. Cow, IHs to 21s per 1001b. Fat bteers sold at from £'J 10s to £lO 17s6d; no extra heavy weights yarded; ,c iwb, £lss to £B. bheep vfere yarded in larger numb rs than usual on ! ttbsduv at the Newmarket Yards, and met a ready sale, wethers sellat from £1 Is to £1 6j 9d; ewes, IDs 6i to £1 4s ; shorn wethers, lbs to £1 3i; do., ewes, 17s 6d to £1; hoggets, 13s 6d to 17s 9d. Lambs, in full supply, sold well at from lis 6d to 183 91; store do., 7s 91 to 9s 91.
Pigs.—Scarce. Porkers sold at from £1 Is to £2 2s 6d ; wcaners, 8s 6d to 14s; baconers, £2 2s 6d to £3. We submitted a large catalogue of hides, skins, and tallow on Tuosday, all lines being sold at late rales. Hide s .—Market firm. Potatoes.—Supplies are short and mirket is firm at £ll 10a ex store. Butter.—The market has eased slightly. First-grade separator, 9£d; and 9] i for st con i.
