THE SYDNEY TRAMWAYS.

THE RECENT TROUBLE. SYDNEY. November 1. The report of the Board appointed to investigate the complaint of the tramway employees who were dismissed characterises the majority of the complaints as trivial, groundless or unproved. The chief recommendations are : Glass fronts to trams to protect drivers from the weather, and more prompt attention to reports against the men. The report suggests that it would be a liberal and even generous concession if the memorial signed by a number of officers in favour of the re-entploy-nient of driver Lawton dould be granted. Lawton took a prominent r part in the agitation that led to the appointment of the Board.
