(By Telegraph—Pkkss Association") CHRISTCHUKJH, La--t Night. Mr Hughie, editor of Trutu, is being prosecuted to-day by Mr Macpaerson, Inspector of Dairies. Truth published an atiicle by a special reporter in which the state of certain dairies was described as shocking. Mr Macpherson, with a view to proceedings against the dairymen for breaches of the Act. wont to Mr Hughie and asked for the name of the reporter and the names of the dairies referred to. Mr Hughie refused, aud asked that the request should be made in writing. He was supplied with a request in writing, but still refused to give the information asked for. Contending that this refusal was an olfence under the Act, Mr Macpherson took proceedings. Ihe case is proceeding.
