INSTRUCTIONS AS TO USE. It is a mistake to use all the Manure in the furrow when planting; it will be found preferable to use, say, half in the furrows ami the other half broadcast, before moulding up; by this means not only th<' central roots, but the plant geneially, will be greatly benefited, and the plant food being better distributed the result will be a moderate top growth and a greater weight and quality of tubers. Care should be taken when planting to keep the Manure from actual contact with the set, especially the eye, and it is also advisable to keep the Manure above rather than below the seed bed. Use from 4 cwt to the acre and upwards. PACKED IN II CWT. BAGS. 16 TO THE TON. HIS Manure has been in use for seventeen years in this Province, and is now recognised as being incomparably superior to any other Manure for this crop. The extraordinary yields per acre secured by liberal application speak for themselves; and the quality and flavour of the tubers grown with this Manure are very superior. Not only is the crop kept going to full maturity, but the land is left in splendid heart to give a good green feed or other crop following. The fungoid and other diseases to which this crop is so liable, and which so frequently follow on moderate, and almost invariably follow a liberal use of farmyard and other Manures, are minimised or rendered almost impossible by the use of cur Special Potato Manure. PRICE : Less 2\ per cent. Discount for Cash. A Free use of this Manure is advised, Potatoes being a crop especially grateful for liberal treatment. This Special Potato Manure can be safely and profitably used up to 10 op 12 cwt. per acre. Manufacturers : KEMPTHORNE, PROSSER &f CO.'S N'V£o- - HEAD OFFICE: ALBERT STREET, AUCKLAND.
