LAND SCANDAL CASE.
COMMUTED FOR TRIAL. SYDNEY, September 11. Crick, Willis and Bath were committed for trial to the quarter sessions in September. Bail was extended. Crick, iu his closing address, declared that it was a political prosecution. The only evidence to warrant the committal was that of Close against himself. Willis and Bath should be discharged. His shoulders were broad enough to carry the charge past jury after jury as he had done before.
