SUICIDE AT RAURIMU.

News has been received that a clerk in the employ of the Public Works Department, named Ernest Sargent, committed suicide on Monday night at Raurituu, on the Maiu Trunk railway by shooting himself with a poaritte. The deceased was found yesterday morning lying on a bed in his hut. A bullet wouno. was visible in his head, and lying close to him was the p-a-riflo with which the fatal injury had evidently been intlicbd.
