Green-dado referred to the urg'-nt- neeessi'y for the erection of a new ,-clm lat Pu'aruru. The position was that when tho question was brought under the notice of tne Department, the Minister had suggested that "the building at Okoroire should bo removed to Putaruru," but this the Bard had declined, because the diataiice was too far, and also the question of re-opening the Okoroire school is uuoer consideration. I The Hoard had then renewed the request j to the Department for a building grant for I the proposed new school, but no answer had | yet been received. It was decided to again communicate with the Department, Mr Greenslade promising that he would also •ee the Minister personally on tho subject when in Wellington.
