A meeting of all interested in the holdin? of a sports nweting at Hamilton on 17th March was held in the Catholic schoolroom list evening, when there «in a good attend ace, Father Da>by in the chair. In was decided to put a £2O Handicap on the programme, consisting of thie> distances— ililyds, 220 yds and 100 yds. Ei";ht pounds was allotted to the mile, and £7 to the half-mile, so it will be seen that these sports will he the largest held in Hamilt m for many a day. The secretary was instructed to have the programmes printed at once and circulated all over the North Island.
