RANGIRIRI STOCK SALE

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited, reports: At Kangiriri, on Wednesday. January 21th, we yarded 500 head of catt'e. There was a good attendance and spirited bidding throughout for all classes, excepting grown steers, and these were not in much demand. However, with the exception of a few pens, everything changed hands at satisfactory prices. Calves sold well, one pan of choice steer calves realising £[ 'Js, calves mixed sexes, 18s to £1 2s; others, 12s 6d to lln 6d; yearling steers. £1 15s to £2 3s; yearlings (mixed), 9s to £1 18s; 18 months steers, £2 8s to £2 15s; 2-year-old steers, £Z 6s to =£t; quiet empty 2-year-old heifers, £1 15s to £3 8'; fresh heifers and oows, £i 15s to £3 16s; fat oows, £o to £Q ss; 2} and 3-year-old steers, £4 13s to £o 17s 6d. Dairy oows near calving. £1 15s to .£5 12s 6d, others a few months off profit, .£3 2s 6d to J&ilOs; 3-year-old bulls, £3 10s to £4,; 2 and 4 tooth ewes, 15s; fat lambs, 12s 6d.

CAMBRIDGE STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., reports: On Friday. January 26th, at o<>r Cambridge monthly sale, we yarded a large muster of cattle. The beef pens were well supplied, 84 prime steers and young cows changed hands at satisfactory prices, the br-st steers realising from £8 to £9 ; lighter weights, £6 12s 6d to £7 15'; young cows and heifers, £i 10s to JE6; young cattle and up to 2-year-olds yarded in large numbers, good calves sold at from 18s to j£l Is, others, 10s to 16s ; yearling steers, £1 15s to £2; yearlings (mixed) £1 8s to £1 17s; 18-months steers, £2 5s to £2 10s; 2-year-o'.d quiet heifers in calf, £$ is ; fresh conditioned young cows, j£3 3s to J63 17s 6d ; store cows, £1 10s to £2 os; 3 an.l t-year-old hulls, .£3 5s to .£4; 18-months o J bulls, £1 7s to £3 15s; dairy cows, £3 5s to £1 10s.
