THE BLACK FAMILY.
Speaking in a musical sense, it is no exaggeration to say that the announcement of the visit of the talented Black Family to Waikato is the best local news for many a long day. So-called musical families there are by the score in the Empire, but surely none more deserving of the title than the subjects of this notice. Of how many other concert companies can }t truthfully be Baid that no one, anywhere they have appeared, has been disappointed. The entertainment gives the best value for money in Australasia to-day. It is those who know who say so. Miss Nellie Black is an artiste very much above the ordinary; bcth as a singer and violinist, Master Bertie Black, too, is very accomplished. Miss Elsie is a very clever flautist, vocalist and danseuse. Mr J. Black, to whom the family owe their talent and training, is the most genial of entertainers, and all are musicians much above the common, so that it is no trouble to them to put on a bright, high-class show. This is high praise, but deserved every bit of it. No sub-editor need have any qualms of conscience about giving the Black Family laudatory advance notices. They will give an entertainment at Cambridge to-night and at Hamilton to-morrow Dight.
