The Waihto Times Office, Friday. AUCKLAND MARKETS. Messrs G. W. Binnby and Sons' Report.—On Tuesday we offered an extia large catalogue of hides, sheepskins, tallow, etc. Hides: Prices were easier all round, except for stout ox, which were firm, One picked realised 6|d; extra stout, 5d to Gid; ■ stout, 4d to 4|d; medium ox are plentiful, and several lines were passed, sales 3|d to 3§d ; cow, best lines. 3gd; others, 3d; wet, 2sd; calf, 4d to 4.{d; medium, 3d to 3id; damaged, nominal. Sheepskins; Prices equal to late quotations for all well woolled, Local green lougwools from 5s Cd tor large to Gs lid for picked; crossbreds, no change. Pelts show a fall from 2d to 3d each. Country dry, from 4d to sgd per lb for clean sound pelted. Tallow and bones show no. change. Messrs Hunter and Nolan's Report.Horse feed, grain, seeds: Supplies have been rather restricted, and holidays have somewhat interfered with business; ; but price? have had an upward tendency. We quote: Maize, 2s fiid per bushel, on wharf; ex store, 2s Sd to 2s 9d ; feed oats, 2s ,9d to 3s; oaten chaff, £4los to £5 per ton; bran', , £4los to £4lss ton. Hi.rses: An increased number were brought forward. Prices for heavy draught were slightly in favour of the purchaser, but other classes were with-: out alteration in value. The entries for disposal by auction at the Durham Yards on Friday were numerous. There was a steady demand throughout, and nearly , all the lots were cleared. We quote Heavy draughts from £l2 to £lB 10a; , medium, £9.10s to £l4 10s; light: harness, £5 to £9 10s; hacks, £3 10s to £23 10s. -Wool, hides, skins, tallow, bonis:,Aver- ' age quantities were pitched at the Durham Yards on Tuesday. The upward tendency noted the previous week was not maintained, but the demand was good. No extra stout ox hides offered. We quote: Stout ox, 4d to 5d per lb; steer ana cow, . 2fd to 3sd; calfskins, 2|d to 4.|d, Tallow, 15s to 18s the cwt; bones, £2 17s per ton ; sheepskins, local, 43 2d to 6s .6(1 (each; country skins, Is lOd to os 9d; lamb'kins, .Gdto Is 6d; pelts, 3d to Is Ode ich. At Remuera, ou Thursday, daity cows in full number were dull of sale. Store,cattle of all classes' in brisk demand at full values.' Fat cattle in larger number than for some time—2ss yarded—were steady throughout the pale at from £1 to £1 is the 1001b Heavy cattle maintained their values, bnt light weights were less .worth. Fat'and young calves in usual number—s2 sold— ! f ware at late values, Sheep m full number, •—ISOO fold—were in demand., and sold ' freely. There was a brisk demand fcr store sheep, and fat sheep kept their late values. Shorn wethers were from 7s to 13s 6d; shorn ewes, 6s ;)d to 9s; wetheisin their wool, 8s (id to 10s fid; ewes in their wool, fis 3d to 12s. Limbs in,.full numher . were at.last week's valaes. Prices fcr fat; lambs were from lis fid to 13s; .-tore lambs, -3sfid to 5s each; 400 sold. Pigs vardeo in moderate number, but of good quality. Porkers brought from 18s to 225; weaneis. in the case of the latter wools, below the opening rates of last year. Lambs'wool, especially burry parcels, is also lower than last season, only the best free sorts meeting with ready accoptance. Notwithstanding this, however, there is a strong demand all round up to limits, and a very business is being transacted. Good Lincoln is in keen request at up to 9|d per lb for the best lustre sorts. At our sale on the 31st inst. we are submitting about 0,000 bales, and have every reason to expect a brisk auction,
