Henderson, of \N(?a ruawahia, applied for some repairs Co the road leading from the Great Soath Road to lot 112, alonjarside the railway line,: Owing t6 the state of the road he was unable to get to his place without trespassing on the railway line, and he hacl been notified by the authorities that he must not continue doing this. He suggested that the drain alongside the railway 'should'be cleaned out, so that the water could get off and that the portions of the road washed away be made well up and formed.—Mr Gordon upon this subject said that when he and other members of the Board | yiifitej thiSipai't of-fche district, he had come to the co'ncliisiou that the drain was too small to do the work, and that the Board in properly forming this road would relieve the drain further down. As the fine weather hal now set in : he thought it would ba bettsi 1 to defer action till next meeting, when their chairman would »be present, as he was one of the members who had been with him when inspecting the roads in that pirt of the district, anJ he believed had come to the same conclusion as himself, that the work should be undertaken as soon as possible.
