KIRIKIRIROA ROAD BOARD.
The yaual monthy meeting of the above Board waii held at the .Waikato County Chambers, Hamilton, 1 yestfirday. There were present: Messrs W. Chitty, Geo. Edgecumbe and John Gordon, who was appointedjchairman. Owing to the absence of Messrs: Cox and McLean it was decided to only transact the business of Bpecjal moment; , ' ■;; ;
. Request.-Mr D. Henderson, of \N(?a ruawahia, applied for some repairs Co the road leading from the Great Soath Road to lot 112, alonjarside the railway line,: Owing t6 the state of the road he was unable to get to his place without trespassing on the railway line, and he hacl been notified by the authorities that he must not continue doing this. He suggested that the drain alongside the railway 'should'be cleaned out, so that the water could get off and that the portions of the road washed away be made well up and formed.—Mr Gordon upon this subject said that when he and other members of the Board | yiifitej thiSipai't of-fche district, he had come to the co'ncliisiou that the drain was too small to do the work, and that the Board in properly forming this road would relieve the drain further down. As the fine weather hal now set in : he thought it would ba bettsi 1 to defer action till next meeting, when their chairman would »be present, as he was one of the members who had been with him when inspecting the roads in that pirt of the district, anJ he believed had come to the same conclusion as himself, that the work should be undertaken as soon as possible. Rbi'OßT—The Foreman of Works reported the work he had done by direction of the Board since last meeting. >

Couoh Grass Etc.—lt was decided that the surfaceman be instructed to throw all couch grass, etc,, into the old gravel pits in place of leaving in heaps along side the muds, as was reported had been dune on the Pinko read. Funds.—The Board's account was reported in credit £2 lis 3J, but was owing the county £B9 Gs3d. TitNMK.-Tbe following tenders f<»r about two and a half miles road formation on the Pinko road at Tauwhare were received, viz.Coleii'.an and White, 4s per chain, lump mm £47, Owen and Churches. 4s 2d p u .r chain, G. Wishart, 5s [)d per chain, McCarthy and Nickisson, 7s p |;i ' chain. The tender of Owon and Chuichfix, on the proposition of Mr G-. Edgecombe was accepted.
