LABOUR CONFERENCE.

At a Conference of associations interested in the labour question, it was decided to form a new political organisation, and the Conference adopted a programme dealing with electoral and social reform and taxation. It also advocates the establishment of State banks, eight hours labour, and a minimum wage on Government work, progressive taxation of town and country land, value to be exclusive of improvements and adoption of the referendum,
