( The Caledonian sports heM in the Domain attracted a large crowd, and the r?| gatta olso proved a big source of attraction, Tho light breeze this mornihg nnd the subsequent rainfall caused it to turn out on llie whole a very poor affair. The Champion Whaleboat Race wns_ won easily by the St. George's ctew, Waitemata No. 2 crew second.
