Madrid, Janunry 11. The attack on Xeres is said to bn the result of Belgian and German anarchists' machinations in Cadiz. It is estimated the assailants were a thousand Strong. Those engaged in the attack were chiefly workmen, several of whom were killed. Morocco, January 11. The rebels are advancing on Tangiers. Rome, January 11. An Italian warship has been despatched to Tangiers. Aden, January 11. The revolt in Yemen aaainst Turkish authority has been renewed- Th 3 rebels are marching on Sanna, the capital of Yemen. The Turkish troops have been despatched to oppose their advance. Ottawa, January 11. Baroness Mac Donald, widow of the late Premier of Canada, is suing the Toronto Globe for libel, for stating that she had been implicated in wrongful land speculation. Mexico, January 11. A rising has taken place among tha Shuka sect. General Anchela was reelected President of the State of Chihuahaa, but the mob objected to his election, and killed Anchela and his Secretary, subsequently taking possession of the town. Valparaiso, January 11. Mr Egan, American Minister to Chili, is escorting refugees from the Legation to the United States warships. The supporters of Balmaceda, who have been held in custody since the downfall of their chief, are being released by order of President Moutt.
