THE WELLINGTON ELECTION.
(BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, Tuesday. The excitement over the election continues to increase. At Mr McLean's meeting at the Opera House to-night there was one of the largest audiences ever in the building. Addresses were delivered by the candidate, the Premier, and the Minister of Education. On the eve of the election Mr Bell delivers an address at the Opera House, and the same night Mr McLean speaks in the open air on the reclaimed land. Wellington, Last Night
As Friday draws near, the interest in the election thickens, and the contest promises to be as keen as any ever seen here. Mr McLean held the last of his meetings at the Opera House last night, the Premier and "<lr Bbp.vbs speaking ae well ae himself. Hβ addresses a mass meeting on the reclaimed land to-morrow night, for which great preparations are being made. Mr Bell addmsses a meeting to-night. Gigantic committee meetings of both candid ifces are being held pretty well every evening to clear decks and get everything in flahting trim. B..th sides profess the utmost confidence.
