(11Y KLKCTUIC TEI.ECKAI'H.— COI'YIUGHT.) Sydnt.y, October 23. | The strikers tore up the private railway lino loading to the Bullambi Colliery, doing damage to the extent of £12,000. The telegraph line was also cut, and a portion of the Government railway damaged. The owner of the colliery has no.v an aimed force of free labourers. October 24. In addition to the damage done to the line of railway leading to the Bullambi collien a large number of trucks were set free on a steep tramwav incline and owing to the points being wedged the trucks were thrown over an embankment and completely wrecked. Lo.vnox, October 23. The Sunderland branch of the Shipping Federation has under consideration a proposal to lay up all the vessels under the control of that branch. The Trades Council has made an unanimous appeal to the trades in the United Kingdom to assist in providing the loan of .£'2o/100 required for the Australian strikers, and they profess that they are confident of success. Mr Burns urges a prompt subscribing of the amount. Mr Bums lias gone to Plymouth to meet Mr D. Fitzgeral I, the labour delegate from Sydney who visits England t'j explain the position of affairs in Australia. His explanation will be made at a specially convened meeting of representatives from the London trades.
