At a meeting to-day sixty owners were present, representing every seaport in the island. The I aiiou embraces the whole tonnage of the United Kingdom, and aims at the abolition .if the men's Union. Mr T. L. Devitt, of Messrs Devitt and Moore, was elected president. The proposals include the withdrawal of ships and the payment of owners' losses
