Foothaix.—The football match played here on Saturday last, between tlie Alexandra and Paterangi Clubs, was one of tiie best contested that lias been played hero for some time past, I'aterangi eventually winning by 1 goal to a try. Tun Latk Buhoi.auv.— I The telegram in last Saturday's Waikato Timks, ro the arrest ot the Alexandra burglar, was iu some way misread, one man only being arrested, John liowe, who was residing at the Karaka, 011 the bouth side of the I'uuiu river. The greater part of tho goods stolen found by Constable Jones, in the prisoner's wliare, were made, or partly made up into clothing, by Howe's wife—Rowe is a threequarter caste, and not over popular amongst the natives. The arrest has caused great satisfaction in the district, and removed suspicion from quite innocent people. Constable Jones is still on the alert to discover the remaining portion of the property taken from Mrs Aubin's store.
