SOCIAL AT KIHIKIHI.

«. A VKKy successful social wus given at tlio Public Hall, Kihikilii, on Friday night last. The ball was held partly in honour of the Queen's Birthday, and partly as a return on behalf of the Kihikihi bachelors to the Kihikihi ladies. Much credit is due to the hon. sec. Mr Joseph Oorboy and the committee for the first-class arrangements made by them for the comfort and enjoyment of their guests. A capital band under Mr Sibley furnished excellent music. The programme was a good one, and contained many beautiful pieces. The catering was placed in excellent hands, and full justice was done to the good things provided. A large number of guests assembled from all parts of Waikato, and the evening was kept up till the " wee sma' hours."
