Tuhikaramea v. Pateranri.

Thk return Cup match between the above clubs was played in Mr J. H. Scott's paddock on Saturday last, and was again won by tho Paterangi Club. Lang won the toss for the visitors, and elected to field. Messrs Graham and Grierson commenced the proceedings, but owing to the deadness of tho pitch, scoring was very slow, and maiden after maiden went down, the innings closing for 21 runs. Tuhikaramea then went in and did better, making 50. S. Reid (IS), and Lang (13), got into double figures. After lunch Paterangi again took the wickets and put together the respectable total of 77 runs. 11. and A. Ricbdale claimed 33 and 16, respectively, both batting well, and never giving a single chance to the field. With 48 to win, Tuhikaramea went in again, but could only put up 41, thus leaving the homo team the winners of an interesting match by seven runs. I. Goble (17), and W. Goble (12), were the highest scorers. Messrs Grey and Ryburn umpired for Paterangi and Tuhikaramea respectively. Paterangi played only 10 men in the first innings, but Mr Case turned xip in time for the second innings.
