Messrs Monk and McA.RTHUR.*Kaihrf Railway Commissioners, and Mr Gore, Secretary, arrived here on Saturday from Hokiaoga, via Kawakawa, They started this morning to visit the School of Forestry Reserve, and leave for Wellington via Auckland, this afternoon. DUNEDIN, Monday. The medical men declare the St. Clair case to be one of true leprosy, and think he should be removed, not because of risk to the neighbourhood, but in order that the man may receive careful nursing. Five thousand persons attended the Exhibition on Saturday. • Georsre Taylor, a young man, was drowned in the Waipori river. He was undressing when he slid off the bank into water eight feet deep and sank after a sligrht struggle without coming to the surface. WOODVILLE, Monday. Robert Atkinsen, a settler, of Mangahue, having been reported missing, a search was made forhim, and his body was found under a tree, which had evidently fallen on him and killed him instantaneously. He is supposed to have been dead a fortnight.
