•DUNKDIN, Last Night. Tiie Union lusurauee Company have declared their usual interim dividend, at the rate of 10 per cent per aunum. On payment of this dividend shareholders will have had returned to them £101,875, or £1,875 more than the amount they originally paid into the company. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Professor J'aukson, the parachutist, made another attempt to ascend from Lancaster Park to-day but the balloon would not rise sufficiently and the valve was accidentally opened, letting out the gas. At the Baby Show, yesterday, the champion prize of £20 was won by Richard Munday, aged 19 months, weighing 2G.',lbs,, beating William Mclvoy. BLENHEIM, Last Night. The morning paper, the Marlborough Daily Times, lias suspended publication.
