Notice im ui;rfij\ i.ivlx, that at a SPECIAL MEETING of the HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL duly convened in accoi dunce with " Tho Municipal Corporation-, Act," IS7G, and the Amendments thereof, aud held at the Council Chambers on tho sth February 1880, the following lesolutions were adopted, viz. :—: — "That in pursuance of the resolution unanimously passed by the burgesses, at the public meeting, held on the 2nd February, 1886, the Council do hereby resolve by special older to proceed to raise a loan of £(J,OOO for the undermen- j tioned pm poses, ' mz. :—: — 1. "Te eicct public buildings, to cost about £2,000." 2. "To pay off the overdiafts at the bank of tho Boiough Fund Ac-count.-and to lend to the Domain lioaid Account and the Cemeterieo Trust Account, about £1,000." 3. "To impiove the lands .about to be handed over by the Government, together with olheis, about £1,000." 4. "For the fuither improvements required, which will bo decided upon at a futui c d.vte by the Burgesses, about £2000. and that immediate action l>u taken to biing this proposal before them in accordance with the "Municipal Corporations Act, 1870," and amendments theieof." THOROUGH OF HAMILTON. Notice under the " Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and the Amendment thereof. TAKE NOTICE.— That the CouucJ of the Borough ot Hamilton in compliance of the abmc Act hereby publish. 1. That the Council piopose to raise a loan of fci* thousand pounds (£o,000), for the following purposes, viz : — (a) For the election of Public Buildings. (b) For the improvement cf lands, about to be handed over by the Government and other lands in the Bonmgli. (c) For p.iying oti the overdraft of the Borough Gonei.il Account, the lJouiam lioaid Account, and the Cemeteries Tiust Account. (d) For the further improvement of the Borough, which will be decided by the buitfes-.es at a futuie date. 2. That in order to cairv out the above proposal the Council has decided to borrow the abo\e amount for a period of hfty yeais, for the repayment of which -,11111, with cm rent interest, a special l ate of ninepence in the £ will be struck and levied, and given as security on all rateable property in the borough ; appi opriation buildings, about £2,000; improvement of lands, about £1,000 ; payment of oveidrafts, about £1,000; further improvements to be decided, £2,000.
