Five trios and one goal weie seemed by the East, and one tiy by the West, the former winning by foiu tues and one goal, or eleven points. F. C.uidm c.i|)tained Wet, and R. Seddon East. For the West F. Gaudin, Quick, Hope, and Edwards did good work ; the l.ittei made '■cveial good runs. Tho nnjoiitv of the E:>-t side played very well, W. CelliuK howexci excelled hih comrade-., and necnred torn tries. J. Da\is also got one, and C. Le (^uesne kicked the gaol. The Hamilton Wrst team were too light. They expected that the East Hamilton team would ha\e allowed an old xcliool boy to have joined in the game, as the West did a similar act list year in allowing: Gumming t'> take P-ntni tlicgame although he had left sthool Mj\eial months befoie.
