The Durham Yards were crammed on Friday, and tlieie was £ood competition throughout tho h ile, resulting in an unusual large number bomg disposed of. We quote . Hacks, from 17 to £15 10i ; light harness, £ f ) to £14 ; draughty £18 to £>7>. Wool, hides and skins wore in moderate supply, bnt generally of inferior quality. We quote : Hides, from 3d to 3Jd per Ib ; skins, from Is to 2s 6d each ; tallow, 21s Gd per cwt. C.ittle . The supply has been large, bnt theievvasa corresponding demand, consequently last week's values were maintained. Above an average number of dairy and fat htock wore yarded at Nowmarket on Tuesd iy. Good dairy cows were briskly competed for, and in some instances prices ruled in favour of the vendor, as compared with the prtv ions week's values. Stores were in less than average numbers, but were not in great loquest. Tho butcher's pens were well filled. Top sorts maintained the previous week's values, but inferior steeis and cows receded ; prices ranged from 18s to SM-. por lOOlbs. Sheep : A large number weiejarded, and for well-fatted wethers, theio uas an advance in value; while e\\e« and stores barely maintained it. Wethers .sold at from 14s to 21s each ; ewes, 7s to 13s; lambs, plentiful, and principally fiom the West Coast, sold at from 8s to 13s. Pigs are plentiful, and soiling at from 2W to 3W per Ib. live weight.
Mkhsrs G W. Binxey and Co. report their weekly nale of hides, skins, and tallow in good demand for heavy hides, for fthipincnt existed for good parcels, competition keen for first-class, heavier realised, \^d to 4£ per Ib. ; medium weights, 3^.d to 3id ; light and inferior, 2\'d to 3d ; sheepskins, Is 8d to 3s lid each.
