B I A X O COUNTY. Te Aroha Tramway. TENDERS are invited for the LEASE of the County Tramway at Waiorongomai for a term of five years. All tenders must be addressed to " The Chairman of the Piako County Council," Cambiidge, and marked on the outside of envelope, " Tender for Lease of Tramway." DIAKO COUNTY. NOTICE is hereby given that the Piako County Council propose, in accordance with the provisions of " The Counties Act, 1576," and the amendments thereof, to borrow a sum of money by way of special loan, and the particulars hereunder are published for the information ot the ratepayers in accordance with section 140 of the said act : — The particular work for which the money ia to be borrowed. — Defraying cost of Te Aroha Tramway. The sum proposed to be borrowed for the purpose.— £9ooo. Revenue it is proposed to pledge as security for such loan.— Gold duty accruing to the council, rent of tramway if leased, and a special annually recurring rate of one farthing in the £, such rate not to be collected in any year when the revenue from the two first-mentioned sources shall amount to the sum of £900. A meeting of the ratepayers of each riding will be held to consider the above proposal at noon on Tuesday, the 23rd day of September, 1884, at the undermentioned places in the respective ridings : - Taotaoroa— Mr Hunt's residence.
