The effoits winch have been made to float the vessel have as yet pioved uiiouccussful. A disastrous fire took place last night in Mcssis Hitchen and .Sons' stoic, at Sandridge, resulting in the destiuction of the building and contents, which con sisted cliiefly of cotton. The damage is estimated at £3000.
