Mr Mitchelson. Auckland, Wednesday Night. The hon. Mr Mitchelson is not going to Waikato to-moirow as he intended, having received a telegram from the survey party on the Stratford route trunk railway, stating that they had only got through yesterday, and w ill have to come up to guide Mr Mitchelaon through.
Land Sale. Messrs Cochrane and Son sold 17 acres at Horotiu, Waikato, for £41, and 46 acres in the same parish for £155. One quarter allotment in the Newcastle township for £12 10s.
frozen Meat. A deputation, representing the Frozen Meat Company, waited upon the Hon. Mr Mitchelson and obtained from him a premise that a night train will be put on to bring meat from Waikato to be frtun a' the depot oi the same terms as in the South.
Alleged Assault. An information for, nn^alleged assault
Fisher, butcher. It is said that. Jeffs was summaiily ejected from Fisher's shop, hence the prosecution. The case will be heard on Fiiday.
Arrival of the Penguin. The Penguin lias arrived from Fiji. The news is unimportant.
